After the death of her 19-year-old brother from cancer, Amanda became obsessed with the paranormal and the search for what lies beyond this life. Amanda shared a shocking and beautiful story about her brother and the Ghostlight Theatre in North Tonawanda, New York, and what appeared one night during a paranormal investigation. Amanda loves to spotlight haunted locations people can actually visit and perhaps have a ghostly experience of their own. Her blog features lots of articles and of course, her books are filled with haunted tales from all over the United States.
Spook-Eats is a blog dedicated to travel, food, and (of course) a little bit of paranormal thrown in just for fun! Amanda Woomer is a huge travel buff, foodie, and lover of all things strange and unusual. She’s been visiting haunted locations ever since her first visit to Gettysburg, PA in 2004 and since then, traveled to dozens of haunted places in the United States from the Stanley Hotel in Colorado to the home of Robert the Doll in Key West. She continues her journey around the country, visiting bars, cafes, restaurants, and hotels, searching for delicious food and spirits of all kinds.
Amanda is also the author of A Haunted Atlas of Western New York, The Cryptid ABC Book (picture book for kids), America’s Haunted Breweries: Distilleries, and Wineries, and The Ghosts of the Ghostlight Theatre (which is a fundraiser book and 100% of the proceeds go back to the theatre to help them through COVID). Krampus’s Great Big Book of Yuletide Monsters is her second children’s book and will be available on November 1, 2020.
